Adaptation of the “rocks, pebbles, sand” filling of a vessel. The need to focus on balancing or prioritizing issues; often we allow all of the time we have, in dealing with the small stuff (sand) and if not balanced with the big stuff (rocks) and routine items (pebbles) the vessel fills (time runs out) without dealing with them all (balance of accomplishment).
